Securities Exchange Commission convenes bourses meeting next week

Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has convened a meeting of all the three stock exchanges of the country for next week.

SECP officials told Geo News that matters including the present situation of the bourses, financing mechanisms and futures will come under discussion at the joint meeting of the bourses.

It will be the first meeting of the Acting Chairman SECP Salman Sheikh with the officials of the three stock exchanges.

SECP initiates 86 show-cause proceedings against compamies

The SECP’s Enforcement Department— while enforcing compliance of corporate and allied laws— initiated 86 show-cause proceedings and concluded 54 proceedings against chief executives, directors and auditors of companies in February and March.
