KARACHI: The Karachi Stock Exchange on Thursday officially launched mKATS, in collaboration with VectraCom (Pvt) Ltd to provide scrip trading information to cellular phone users. Speaking on the occasion of the launch, DGM Product Development KSE, Sani-e-Mehmood said that the IVR is a simple voice telephony service through which any one can dial 573 from any mobile set and obtain detailed trading information regarding any scrip, Index, trade volume. The voice telephony has 7 different languages (including English, Urdu) to make it accessible to all investors across the board from any where. It is designed to keep the businessmen connected with their business in today’s fast paced life style and reduce the reliance on trading terminals and computers. In the second phase we will bring to table order placing through hand held phones as well, he added.
